About the comprehensive insurance issues and liability insurance?

Ok, I own a car and I intend to buy another and intend to keep both. If I insure my new car to be comprehensive will I get to drive my old car on a third party? No. both must have an insurance policy active on them. If your policy fully model says you can drive any other car which means the other car must be insured (by someone), road legal and not owned or registered to you.
