Does NJ Manufacturers Insurance Co. will charge you extra to take your car to your been out of school?
I live in New Jersey, and my car is registered in my parents' insurance. The insurance company is from New Jersey manufacturers, only operates in New Jersey and Philadelphia. I go to school in NH and want to take my car for one semester. My mom heard that if you want to keep your car somewhere over 100 miles away from the direction the company is reported insurance, which will cost $ 1,000 extra per year. If you do not pay $ 1,000, then the insurance company will not cover you if you get into an accident at school (or where you are keeping your car that is 100 miles away from home). I've asked other students in my school if they pay extra, but all insurers have operating in many states so their situation is different from mine.
