Home Insurance San Diego
home insurance san diego
serious question i need right answer please?
to give birth in one of San Diego , California hospital, without insurance, medical, either nothing, how much would be the bill? pleas advice. also having the midwife to come home and give birth with her help, at home how much would be too.
The difference in cost will be amazing. I used to study midwifery in San Diego, and the going rate for a home birth was around $2-$3 thousand. An uncomplicated hospital birth ran about $14,000.
Many insurance (medicaid included) companies will approve payment for a homebirth with a certified midwife. You need to do some homework. If you qualify for state aid, it may just come down to what kind of birth you prefer vs. cost.
We have had all 4 of ours at home (an awesome experience!). I do not have insurance, as well fall right inbetween being able to afford our own, and making too much to qualify for aid. Money shortage was not the reason we chose homebirth, but it sure helped!
